Description[]
The black-rumped agouti is one of eleven species of agouti (nine of which are included in-game) which are rodents native to middle america, nothern and central South America and lesser antilles. This species can be distinguished by it's black rump, which it is named after, its contrasting orange fur and its range. Being the only Agouti found in the Catingaa biome
It is endemic to Deciduous forests, cerrados, scrub, Catingaa and (possibly) costal rainforests of notheastern Brazil. Although it is listed as a Least concern species, its population size is unknown, and it is hunted as a food source in part of its range

The black-rumped Agouti is an animal avalaible for adoption in Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection. It is a mini-exhibit animal that can be housed in the Tropical Rock mini-exhibit like all other agouti species in-game. It is available once the player reaches a zoo fame of 2 stars
