Fish is a recurring food item in the Zoo Tycoon franchise, used to feed piscivore animals.
Zoo Tycoon[]
In Zoo Tycoon, there are two fish food items; one placed on land which available in the base game, and one placed in tanks which is introduced in Marine Mania.
Zookeepers will place the land version of fish to feed standard piscivore animals, such as bears, penguins and sea lions. Marine Specialists will place the tank version of fish to feed marine piscivore animals, such as dolphins.
Zoo Tycoon 2[]
In Zoo Tycoon 2, fish is a type of food item eaten by all piscivores in the game. Similar to Zoo Tycoon, the base game includes land versions of fish, while Marine Mania introduces water placeable versions, as well as two Live Food fish.
