This article is about the food item, for grass foliage items see Foliage. For the Zoo Tycoon terrain type, see Terrain.
Grass is a recurring food item in the Zoo Tycoon franchise, used to feed herbivorous animals.
Zoo Tycoon[]
In Zoo Tycoon, there are two grass food items; the Grass and Branches feed included in the base game, and the Large Grass and Leaves Chow introduced in Dinosaur Digs.
Zookeepers will place a mix of Grass and Branches to feed some standard herbivores, such as both elephants and the hippopotamus. Scientists will, in turn, place the Large Grass and Leaves chow to feed extinct herbivorous animals, including dinosaurs, Macrauchenia and the Wooly Mammoth.
