The Green Peafowl or Javanese peafowl is one of three species of peafowl and one of the largest game birds. They are native to open and tropical lowland forests of Southeast Asia, habitat loss and hunting has reduced its range primarily to Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, Thailand and Java
Javanese peafowls are about the same size as their more popular relative, the Indian peafowl, reaching a body length of 90-130cm (35-50-inch) without counting the tail or "train', which grows up to 150-cm (60-inch) on males. This train is mainly formed by the bird's upper tail coverts and is green in color
