Mini-Exhibit

A mini exhibit is a new addition to the Zoo Tycoon franchise. This kind of exhibit is used to house small animals such as meerkats and lemurs. Animals in this kind of exhibit do not breed, eat or drink. In fact they act the same all the time, it is one animation played on loop. Animals in mini exhibits are not dropped by helicopter, they are spawned by a source of light. However small animals can level up to level 15 which will make them able to be released into the wild. Once again, they will despawn by a source of light, not the helicopter. Each mini exhibit features a feeding station, however it is not known what kind of food is in this station.

Five different mini-exhibits were included in Zoo Tycoon (Xbox), with an additional three added in Zoo Tycoon: Ultimate Animal Collection

Savannah Rock[]

Datamining the game files indicates that mini-exhibit animals were originally going to having growth stages like proper exhibit animals. Animals with such evidence are the Blue-and-yellow Macaw, Blue Throated Macaw, Great Green Macaw, Hyacinth Macaw, Komodo Dragon, Military Macaw, Red Ruffed Lemur, Ring-Tailed Lemur, and Ruffed Lemur.
