National Parks are a gameplay mechanic in Zoo Tycoon: The Board Game.
Gameplay[]
National Parks are a feature in Zoo Tycoon: The Board Game that a player can work towards whilst building their zoo. Each national park has a select list of animal species that the player is able to adopt. The first player to successfully exhibit all of the species from a park will be awarded conservation points at the end of the game, whilst the second player to do so will receive a smaller amount of points. Some national parks allow a zoo to choose between two designated animals (for example, either the Plains Zebra or Common Ostrich may be adopted to complete the Serengeti National Park), whilst others require a certain number of a species to be adopted.
There are five national parks in Zoo Tycoon: The Board Game, with an additional five added in its expansion pack, New Shores. In addition, five national parks were updated to include animals from New Shores and the Additional Species Pack.
