The White-Headed Capuchin (Cebus capucinus), more accurately the Colombian White-Faced Capuchin, is a small South American monkey. It is an adoptable animal in Zoo Tycoon (Xbox).
Description[]
The White-Faced capuchin is a member of the New World monkey genus known as "gracile capuchins" (Cebus sp.), which are more lightly built than "robust capuchins" (Sapajus sp.). There are two species of white-headed capuchins, both identifiable by their white head and front, which contrasts the black body, legs and tail. It can reach up to 45cm (18in) in length, with a 55mm (2.2in) long prehensile tail.
Native to northwestern South America, primarily Colombia and Ecuador, as well as the extreme east of Panama, the white-headed capuchin can live in a variety of forest habitats so long as they have easy access to food and shelter. They are extremely social and, unlike most other capuchins, live in groups led by an alpha pair. Like many capuchins, the white-headed capuchin is omnivorous and by spreading seeds in its dung or by leaving leftovers, it helps new plants to grow.
