The Yellow Anaconda (Eunectes notaeus) is a large South American snake. It is an adoptable animal in Zoo Tycoon (Xbox).
Description[]
The yellow anaconda is one of the largest snakes in the world, reaching an average of 3.7m (over 12ft) in length and weighing around 35kg (77lb), although larger snakes have been reported. Females are larger than males. Aside from being smaller, it can be distinguished from the Green Anaconda by its yellow golden-tan coloration, with black or dark brown markings across its body.
The yellow anaconda is native to South America, with a small population in Florida believed to have been descended from escaped pets. It lives primarily in wetland habitats, ambushing prey from shallow water. It has an extremely varied diet of aquatic or semi-aquatic species, with the largest individuals known to hunt Capybara, and anacondas have also been reported eating smaller members of their own species.
Zoo Tycoon (Xbox)[]
The yellow anaconda is an adoptable animal in the Xbox version of Zoo Tycoon and is available in the base game. It can be adopted when a zoo reaches a fame level of 11.
The yellow anaconda is a Mini-Exhibit animal and lives in the Tropical Tree mini-exhibit. It is compatible with certain other snake species, specifically the Boa Constrictor and Reticulated Python.
